Talking Portraits is a beautiful new way to capture life’s most special moments — in moving picture. Don't worry, we also offer traditional portraits too!
Many families book a professional photographer for milestones like family portraits, pregnancy sessions or cake smashes — and we offer that too! But what makes us a little different is that we also tell your story through video.
Imagine your child chatting and playing with their favourite toy, their laughter and little voice captured forever. We always take a few still portraits during your session too — perfect for that wall art you’ll treasure — but the real magic is in watching your memories come alive on screen.
Our very first Talking Portrait was of little Georgie becoming a big sister! She proudly calls it “her movie for Evie.” Just imagine the two of them watching it together when they’re older — or even showing it to their own children one day.

About Us
Stu and I met filming weddings.. we are now married! Stu is known in the industry for his business "Stu Art Video Productions". Although I am most known in the wedding industry as a photographer, I have fallen in love with video and created "Talking Portraits" which is creating short video stories of special moments in life. I run a little wedding business called "Happily Ever After Photography" which was created after working for over a decade at one of Melbourne's busiest photography studios.
Stu is an incredible videographer and editor. His other loves in life (aside from me! haha) are his kids (including the fur-babies), the St Kilda Football Club, movies, music including bands such as Yellowcard and Story of the Year, kebabs and burgers. He is fun and personable and he's excited to be able to offer his clients more than just wedding and music videos! He is more in the background of Talking Portraits, though when clients would like drone footage in their videos, he's there ready to rock!
My loves in life include dogs, chocolate, movies, music such as Missy Higgins, theatre shows and sleeping! haha..
I am known for my bubbly personality, my endless energy and my eye for detail. My shooting strengths include making magic out of any place and posing women of all shapes and sizes.
